Mauro Labate is a technology leader with over 16 years of experience in software development, spanning roles from engineering to executive leadership. He has worked across global hubs including Milan, Zurich, New York, Singapore, and Barcelona, building and leading diverse, high-performing teams and driving major product and business transformations.

Over the past seven years, Mauro has held CTO and Head of Engineering roles, mentoring leaders and shaping high-impact teams. He led Appway’s transition from on-premise software to SaaS, helping secure funding and enabling its acquisition by FNZ Group. At Planck Security, he delivered a new product portfolio, driving highly specialized teams in their research journey deep into the latest cybersecurity trends.

In his current role as Head of Engineering at Board, Mauro leads the Development, QA, and Cloud teams with a focus on high impact innovation, best in class software development practices, and efficient delivery.
