Effectively Managing a Global Operation: Santa’s Secrets
Managing large-scale manufacturing and distribution activities is challenging and complex, and who else would know…
This year’s Board events are going digital! Taking inspiration from our physical conferences, Board Day 2020 is a virtual roadshow featuring an extensive lineup of guest speakers, real-life case studies, and interactive workshops that can be attended from the comfort of your own desk.
In recent months, global disruption in an already turbulent business market has made it increasingly clear that organizations need to be able to plan, adapt, and react with speed. Board Day 2020 is titled Defining the New Normal: Accelerate Decision-Making through Digital Transformation, and offers key insights into coping with ever-changing supply and demand. During each session, we’ll explore how companies can overcome the challenges they typically face in achieving the cross-functional visibility, integration, and efficiency required to make fast, informed decisions.
Each event will begin with a scene-setting keynote exploring the way in which industries worldwide have been affected by COVID-19 and other macro- and micro-environmental forces. The sessions will also consider how businesses can navigate their way through the turbulence by driving digital transformation in their approach to decision-making. Guest speakers leading these presentations include professionals from leading consulting firms KPMG, EY, and Boston Consulting Group, as well as US-based analyst Dresner Advisory.
Thought leaders from these organizations will also participate in virtual Q&A sessions alongside professionals from businesses that have already undertaken a digital transformation effort, with attendees able to pose questions to the panel.
Several Board customers, who are using the unified decision-making platform to transform their approach to analysis, planning, and forecasting, will also share their experiences in customer spotlight keynotes. Attendees will discover how organizations such as KPMG, Toyota, GSK Consumer Healthcare, Olympus, and Euronics have undertaken their internal digital transformation projects and the benefits they have realized from new ways of working.
These customer story sessions will cover a range of projects, from finance-focused transformation to end-to-end Integrated Business Planning, providing useful insight for organizations in all industries.
In the afternoon, the focus turns to hands-on learning, with a series of parallel tracks providing interactive sessions for attendees to further their knowledge on digital transformation and the Board platform itself.
The Business Tracks focus on several strategic considerations around approaching digital transformation in different areas of the organization:
While the Academy Tracks focus on key aspects of the Board platform, providing useful insights and exercises on topics including:
